FHM vs Playboy Round 5

Hindi pa talaga akong tapos basahin nang buo yung Playboy August issue pero I think I can already write this post, granting na medyo late na into the month. So this month’s FHM vs Playboy. Round 5, FIGHT!

Syempre sa cover muna tayo. FHM has controversial young actress Krista Ranillo while Playboy has beauty queen Miriam Quiambao. Both are very notable personalities. But extra kudos sa Playboy for finally featuring someone na medyo high profile, as compared to their other covergirls like Kit Barraquias and Sachie Sanders. Medyo mahirap mag-decide kung which wins on this department kasi both photosets are good and really, umm, boner-inducing. Medyo mas sexy lang yung kinalabasan nung kay Krista, though tasteful and erotic yung kay Miriam. So I guess I’ll declare a tie.

For the other babes, I think I will give it to Playboy for having a more fitting theme sa shoots because they feature Olympians who are half-naked. Though medyo sablay lang yung Playmate of the Month, pero na-compensate naman nung ibang naked chicks all over the magazine. Sa FHM naman, though sexy and beautiful yung mga girls, parang masyadong naging relax yung mga shoot at nawalan ng exciting. Kasama din among the girls ng FHM this month si Megan Fox, who was declared the World’s Sexiest, pero nakita ko na yung mga photos na yun kaya hindi ganun ka-exciting. Masyado din maraming Photoshop kaya bigay ko na sa Playboy yung department na ito.

As for the articles naman, aaminin ko na medyo boring yung mga features sa Playboy. And for a publication na para daw sa intellectual men, medyo hindi intellectual yung mga articles nila. Nakaka-bore, as usual, ang pagbabasa nung mga articles sa Playboy except again for the fictional one. Sa FHM, I especially like yung feature on the Pinoy Olympians and the one about how men can take back control into their lives. Educational and fun, which should be the standard for every men’s magazine. So FHM gets this one.

So I guess, for the first time ever, I will declare this month’s face-off a tie. Though may hinahanap pa din ako sa Playboy, I guess they are improving little by little. As with FHM, they are still the usual men’s magazine that I’ve grown to love. I definitely recommend that you horny perverts grab a copy now, kung wala pa kayo which I doubt. So until next time.
