Ouija Review (or at least my comments…)

There are so many raves about GMA Films first horror flick, Ouija. And what do I have to say about this after watching the movie. Well, they really are right that this is the first for them because there are so many rookie mistakes on it that I really think that it sucks. I felt that this film was just getting it’s credit for all the hype people are building for it. Technically, the movie is a big flop. For a horror flick, Ouija tends to be very dark. I know that it could have been a tool for the so-called scare factor but it didn’t help. I wasn;t even scared one bit because all they did was copy all sorts of scare tactics from different Asian horror thrillers like The Ring, The Eye, The Grudge and Shutter. Copycat is an understatement for this movie. And being dark, hindi lang sa mga supposedly nakakatakot na scenes. Halos yung buong pelikula ay isang madilim na eksena, kahit the scen calls for a morning external shot.

Yung scare nga, walang wala. And they say that this film is better than Sukod. I don’t think so. You’ll say na may bias ako pero I don’t I like Juday and Jolina as actresses and I hate Kris Aquino. Pero I still find the acting of these young stars lacking. I was shocked that Juday can only that much to think she has been winning all kinds of acting awards. And don’t even get me started with Rhian and Iza. Both just sucked.

And the twist they have been bragging about. Well, it got me excited kasi they ended it right there. Bitin yung pelikula at very much GMA-isque. They are just planning to do a sequel to rip us off of our money. Stop fooling the people. Sana lang if you say na you’ll have a good movie, at least make it a decent one.
